Designer Spotlight: Jalie Patterns

Here at Spool & Spindle, we love Jalie patterns! They're well-drafted, with attention to detail, and they're Canadian! Their original size range includes 28 sizes (from child to adult); and they've recently introduced an expanded size range as well. We wanted to highlight some of their new range and give you some fabric suggestions to go with these fantastic patterns (and remember, you can always get PDF patterns printed with us - most Jalie patterns are only one page of printing!). 
First up, the LAURENT T-shirt, pullover and hoodie:
A staple pattern that includes an easy-to-sew, relaxed crew-neck tee and pullover (sweatshirt / jumper), with many options. Choose between short or long sleeve, neckband or hood, topstitched or banded hem, optional kangaroo pocket, in regular or cropped length.
Pair it with:
Bamboo French Terry (with Matching Ribbing or Jersey)
 
 SYLVIE Knit shorts and wide-leg pants

High-waist wide-leg pants with a wide waistband that hits at the belly button. There is a secret pocket on the inside of the waistband. Use it to carry a key, card, or money.

The pants are fitted at the waist and hips, straight from the hips down. They come in two lengths: shorts and pants (with instructions showing where to cut for cropped length). Palazzo pants that are as easy as leggings to sew!

Leggings for people on the move, in which you will feel secure and confident. A wide waistband that hits above the belly button, a practical pocket on the side of the leg, big enough for a phone, seaming that allows for fun color blocking to create illusions and play with the silhouette.
